02-27-2023 A Day In My Life (in progress...)

5:55-Woke up.

6: Coffee. Glass of water. Morning prayers. Some very light stretching. Made kids school lunches. Watched YouTube video about Substack.

7: Maddy woke up. Made her breakfast. Dressed her. Read the news. and favorite blogs (Richard Rushfield’s The Ankler keeps me up to date on Hollywood).

7:30: Woke up Vivi. Made her breakfast. Wrote blog post on Covid lab leak…the headline: it’s no longer a theory.

8: Got kids off to school. Posted blog post on website and Substack. Quick glance at webpage analytics. Need to be better about that. Got my son ready for school.

8:30: Nic took our son to school. Attempted to embed my sub stack on my website and vice versa. Showered. Listened to second video about SubStack to learn some best practices. Got dressed. Read the news.

9: Started working. Reviewed To Do list. Made some adjustments.

9:30: Wrote a draft of a second blog post.

10:15: Went to work on my latest novel. I am writing the draft of Eddie Ankin Book 2: The Crew. I am also in the middle of editing the first novel in the series, which is taking longer than I hoped, but perhaps not longer than I expected (if I’m being honest. Which, considering my job is to make up stories for a living, there is a good chance I’m lying to myself.)

11:30: Decent first writing session of the day (on the new novel). The new novel, the second in the series, is a high octane mystery thriller featuring former Marine turned Hollywood stuntman, Eddie Ankin, who in book one is accused of murder after he is the last person to see an actress who is later killed in fornt of a live audience on her YouTube channel. The only way to clear his name is to find the real killer. Book 2 movies the action from Los Angeles to New York City, where a friend of Eddie’s turns up dead. Eddie suspects there is a connection between his friend’s death and members of a crew of professional thieves who are planning a massive heist at the Empire State Building.

11:45: posted this blog post…
